EHS is committed to endorsing high-quality educational events that set strong standards in hernia and abdominal wall surgery education and, over time, contribute to improved patient care and patient safety.
Applications are strongest—and more likely to achieve endorsement—when they clearly demonstrate:
A well-defined educational purpose and relevance to the intended audience
(e.g. clear learning objectives, defined level of training, and clinical focus)
Educational formats that go beyond lectures
(e.g. hands-on training, skills labs, workshops, case-based discussions, or small-group teaching)
Faculty composition that supports both excellence and development
(e.g. involvement of recognised experts alongside local faculty, mentoring, or succession planning)
A clear approach to quality assurance and continuous improvement
(e.g. structured delegate feedback or post-course evaluation forms)
Appropriate accreditation and alignment with recognised educational standards
(e.g. CME/EACCME where applicable)
Complete submission of supporting documentation
(e.g. detailed programme, accreditation documents, educational or pre-course materials)
