The EHS invites you to the 2-day Intensive Advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery Cadaver Course in Manchester, United Kingdom, 30 April – 1 May 2026.

The EHS Advanced MIS Cadaveric Courses offer intensive hands-on training in advanced laparoscopic abdominal wall surgery. Designed for senior trainees and consultants, the course focuses on key techniques such as TEP, TAPP, Laparoscopic TAR, Sugarbaker, and Scola repairs.

Through expert-led introductions, case discussions, and step-by-step cadaveric practice, participants strengthen their skills in managing complex hernia cases and performing safe, high-quality minimally invasive procedures.

Programme

The Advanced MIS Cadaver Course course in Manchester is an intensive 2-day course. This course focuses on advanced laparoscopic techniques across various procedures. Participants will gain hands-on experience in

  • Trocar entry and closure
  • TEP inguinal hernia repair
  • Umbilical TAPP
  • Endoscopic Anterior CS
  • E-TEP Ventral
  • Laparoscopic TAR 
  • Scola repair for diastasis recti with small hernias

 

The course is designed to enhance participants’ skills and knowledge in these advanced minimally invasive procedures. This Advanced course will be a combination of short introductions, case discussions, step-by-step presentations and practical skill training in the cadaver lab.

Experience Requirements

  1. The course is suitable for Senior Trainees or Consultants
  2. Logbook Verification:
    A logbook must be submitted for verification, documenting the participant’s experience as a primary surgeon unsupervised. The logbook should confirm the completion of the following procedures:
    – Lichtenstein: 50
    – TAPP: 40
    – Rives Stoppa: 20
    – TEP: 10
    – Laparoscopic ventral hernia (V-TAPP, E-TEP ventral): 20
  3. Department Endorsement:
    – Letter from the Head of the department or Supervisor that there are opportunities to further develop your skills in advanced MIS hernia repair

Course Fee

2-day course fee: 1350 EUR (excluding VAT)

Including VAT (20%): 1620 EUR

The registration fee includes:
Admission to the full course programme
Coffee breaks and lunch
Course Dinner on the first evening

Cancellation terms

Cancellation of registration must be notified in writing to CAP Partner at registration@cap-partner.eu. Cancellations postmarked before and on the date indicated below will be refunded 50% of the registration fee. After that date, registration fees are non-refundable.

Cancellation deadline: 26 february 2026.

If the course is cancelled due to other unforeseen events beyond the control of the organisers, the registration fee will be refunded after the deduction of expenses incurred by the course.

The MSSSC is located in the centre of Manchester and is one of only a few training centres in the country to offer cadaveric dissection using fresh frozen tissue. It has been a cornerstone of multi-professional learning, facilitating regional, national and international courses since 2012.
