Call for Applications: Join an EHS Advisory Committee
CLOSED FOR APPLICATIONS!
(For EHS members only. If you are not a member, you can apply for membership here: Join the EHS).
The European Hernia Society (EHS) is pleased to announce the opening of applications for new members to join several of its Advisory Committees. These specialised working groups play a vital role in supporting the EHS Board and Committees in developing policy, advancing content, and shaping the strategic direction of the Society.
We welcome applications from engaged and motivated surgeons across Europe who are interested in contributing to the work of the Society in the following areas:
Guidelines Advisory Committee
Number of positions available: 4
The Guidelines Committee is seeking surgeons with a demonstrated interest – and preferably experience – in evidence appraisal and/or the GRADE methodology. Selected members will play an active role in the development of future EHS guidelines, contributing to the advancement of evidence-based hernia care.
Quality Advisory Committee
Number of positions available: 4
Applicants with a strong interest in surgical outcomes, quality improvement, and the standardisation of hernia care are encouraged to apply. Members of the Quality Committee support initiatives aimed at raising the quality of abdominal wall surgery throughout Europe.
Registry Advisory Committee
Number of positions available: 2
The Registry Committee welcomes applications from individuals with an interest in registry development, clinical data collection, and outcome evaluation in hernia surgery. New members will help strengthen the EHS Registry and expand its impact on research and clinical practice.
Digital Media Advisory Committee
Number of positions available: 2
Surgeons with experience or interest in digital communication, social media, or content development for professional audiences are invited to apply. Members of the Digital Media Committee work to enhance the Society’s digital presence and engagement within the hernia surgery community.
