Requirements
To join the Young Surgeons Wing, you must:
- Be under 40 years old.
- Be a member of the European Hernia Society.
Committee Structure
The committee will consist of:
- 1 Chair person
- 5 Members (at least 2 must be residents)
Diversity is a cornerstone of the committee, ensuring representation from various countries and perspectives. Members will serve for a term of 2 years, with an option for renewal. To maintain continuity, half of the initial members will serve a single term.
Key Roles and Activities
As a member, you will:
- Contribute ideas and projects to the EHS Board.
- Develop national and cross-border networks of young surgeons.
- Participate in systematic reviews, consensus building, and training initiatives.
- Create sessions for the annual EHS congress and publish in EHS newsletters.
- Identify and promote talented young surgeons for future leadership roles.
The Chairperson will also attend EHS Board meetings (non-voting) and lead committee activities.
