Journal of Abdominal Wall Surgery (JAWS) now indexed in Pubmed!

Dear members of the European Hernia Society (EHS), readers and authors of JAWS (Journal of Abdominal Wall Surgery, the official journal of the EHS) and hernia friends,

It is just over 2 years since the birth of our esteemed journal. Since then, the number of papers we have received has been progressively increasing. We are pleased with the evolution and acceptance of the journal in the surgical community with special interest in aspects related to the abdominal wall.

Our goal is to become a reference publication, representing the academic values of our beloved EHS. In this difficult editorial path, a very important step is the indexing of the journal in the databases of obligatory consultation for surgeons in search of relevant information.

The journal has already been indexed in DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals), a unique and extensive index of diverse open access journals from around the world. Now we have just been indexed in Pubmed, the open access search engine that allows to consult mainly and mostly the contents of the MEDLINE database. In our opinion, this excellent news is a good sign of the current excellent editorial health of JAWS. We hope that indexing in Pubmed and DOAJ will serve as an incentive to select JAWS as the journal in which surgeons with an interest in hernia surgery want to publish their work.

The visibility of papers published in JAWS is now greater than ever!

We look forward to your contributions!

Manuel LĂłpez Cano
Editor-in-Chief of JAWS
