Open abdominal treatment is a therapy for critically ill patients. Unfortunately, there is currently little evidence as to which treatment option, including details of managing the open abdomen, is best for our patients. The EHS started its own European Open abdomen Registry for these treatments a number of years ago. Up to now, there are more than 1000 patients included. If you are not already using this registry, you can find it HERE
The EHS Open Abdomen Registry data has already led to several high-ranking publications and more evaluations are planned. For this we need your help. We would like to ask you to enter as many cases as possible into the register, so that we will soon have an even bigger database. As you can see, we have been able to publish well so far (2023 Br J Surg) and include many of you as authors. If you have any questions, please write to us trough the mail – info@europeanherniasociety.euÂ
Thank you for your help!
